Towards a New American Covenant
Here’s what the editor thinks, from the parameters of their now publicly established position:
American socioeconomic corruption and media propagandizing has reached such an advanced stage at the top of our private citizenry, that the way out of this mess is some kind of New Deal, that addresses the concerns of each and every disenfranchised and harmed American, regardless of their stated political preferences or identity factors.
An Inclusive New Deal that addresses our actual problems, and not our propagandized ones. Let’s call it a New American Covenant. Its goal is to transcend polarity: to be suprapolar, which is a governing construct of The Next York Times. It is not “centrism.” Supra- means above, not in the nebulous and nonexistent “middle.”
The affluent and the commercial power brokers have a long history of trying to portray this kind of position as “radical,” instead of reasonable. That’s because it’s they who are the radicals, and they who will war and attack to protect their interests, and they who have the power, access, and resources to falsely mold and attempt to control public perception.
Power corrupts, and we have seen years of corruption scandals emanating from the cozy classes who then constantly whine, propagandize, and orchestrate the release of contagious retaliatory sentiment on the internet. Suspect money, loaded with manipulative and immoral self-interest, flows and funds like an underground river of illicit ill will.
Anti-governance rhetorical operators have an issue: it’s our governance that’s in the best position to present us with new Covenants, with new deals. Private power doesn’t just prefer polarization, it needs it to operate and maintain the constant conflict that is the medium they transact in. We all become trapped in these machinations sourced to the top of our private citizenry.
This is a point of view that could guarantee The Next York Times continual social media and commercial suppression. The private powers that be want polarization, and a steady flow of polarized suckers on the internet are now their generally uncompensated work-from-home enforcers.
Let’s endeavor to be suprapolar in 2023, and talk about Covenants, not Complaints. We all really do deserve it, and we all really can achieve it.▪️
